How To Find Your Purpose - 7 Questions to Ask Yourself- Question 6 - What Are Your Values?

What Are Your Values?

Why would this be important when finding your purpose in life?

Quite simply, when you do something that fits in with your values, you are more likely to do what you enjoy and the time will fly by.  Your sense of accomplishment and satisfaction will rise with everything you do.

You should also experience a rise in income.  Sometimes a substantial rise!

I have personally met many people who have experienced doubling or tripling their annual income. But the best example that I have seen (and I know the chap quite well) is going from £100k per year to £100k per MONTH!  This transformation - for there is no other word for it - took place over about 3 months in 2016 following a personal consultation with Dr John DeMartini, author of The Values Factor and a prolific public speaker on vision and values.

Just a note here; values are not traits.

For example when I ask people about their values, they often say something like honesty or integrity.
These are traits.  The traits like honesty and integrity are something that you should already have and they are the minimum expected of an established social community.

A value is something you "value" and that you want to experience in your life such as Freedom, Wealth, Harmony or Growth.

Dr DeMartini has a workbook called the Values Determination Worksheet which is a pdf that you can download.  It has 13 questions that help you find your values.
