How Can I convince an Angel or Lender to invest in me?


There are 7 things to consider:


1. Most decisions that people make are based on emotions, then they use logic to justify.  You need to arouse emotions when you want them to invest in you

2. Show a clear path and clear steps to  their investment growing or returning their money

3. Show how your proposal will prevent negative things from happening. This is more effective than simply stating what they will gain

4. People tend to respond favourably to a solution if they believe the plan of action came from them. So if you can somehow pose questions that they can answer, they will be more amenable to investing in you.

5. Let them know why you want their money and not someone else's.  What can they do as well as provide the funds. What expertise do they have?

6. Tell them that you don't have all the answers as this shows you as more credible and sincere.  It's also probably true!

7. Be enthusiastic about the project. If you're not excited then the lender won't be
