How often have you heard someone (usually complaining) say something like,
"This happens to me every single time." or "Everyone is doing this" or
"It always turns out like this!"
The challenge with these sweeping generalisations is exactly that.
They are not reality.
For example,
I'm getting people say to me that "Everyone is doing Serviced accommodation (SA) and there's no money in it anymore."
or
"There are HMO's everywhere."
If you are in the business of doing serviced apartments or HMO's then it might seem as if that's what's happening but the reality is quite different.
There is a still a massive demand for all kinds of accommodation all over the UK and still many areas where there are simply not enough SA units or not enough HMO's.
Find out where they are and buy there instead.
And no it doesn't "always" happen to you. The reality is that it sometimes does and it sometimes doesn't.
If you look at things unemotionally, you'll see that to be true.
