The Day of the Week Makes a Difference

Does the Day of the Week make a difference in making a finance application?

Yes it does...so too does the weather. https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-540-73729-2_7

There is a ton of science behind this, but you will mostly know from your own experience when it's a good day of the week to do something.

Monday - Start of the working week. A catch up of last week and a look forward to the rest of the week.  Most sick days off are Mondays. This is not a good day to make an application.  It's also not a good day to travel. Prices of planes are higher and roads are busier.

It's also in in January that most work sick days off happen; https://www.personneltoday.com/hr/staff-take-53-more-sick-days-in-january/

Tuesday - Contrary to popular opinion, Monday is not the worst day of the week.; it's Tuesday.  This is the day when work reality sets in.  This is also usually the slowest retail day and restaurants also see their lowest takings on a Tuesday. If you work in any kind of service sector, this is the day of the week when your phone will rind the most.

Wednesday - A busy working day.  Also known as "Hump Day" in some places as you are now over the hump of the working week.  Also a busy day for office phones ringing.

Thursday - The best day to submit an application.  Work brain is in  full flow. The optimism of the weekend is in the air and statistically one of the best days to get things done.

Friday - Most people's favourite day.  Tends to be a slack work day for a lot of companies as most employees are thinking about the weekend and are keen to get home.  Also not a good day for travelling.
